Purp eyes

So, yesterday I spent some time by myself away from all the boys in my house, to be a girl.
I closed my bedroom door and played with my collection of makeup.
Thsi was the result.
Inspired by a look I saw on a MAC girl in Las Vegas,
whose blend job was UH-mazing,
not doing it any justice
here is my interpretation of it.

Oh and FYI, I used E.L.F's Hi-Def Finishing Powder ($6 @ Target)
and its actually very chalky on film
(hence the ghost face, and well I packed a lot on)
but its beautiful in person, so for everyday I say go for it.

List of Products

I used a gazillion eye shadows, so bare with me!
Highlight: MAC Mylar.
Crease: (in the order I layed it) MAC Soft Brown, MAC Reel Sexy collection Dynamic Duo 4, the pink one, Shop MAC collection Call Me Bubble(Quad): Full of Flavour.
Lid(in the order I layed it): all over-MAC Reel Sexy collection Dynamic Duo 4, the purple one. (center and inner corner) pinky-purple shimmer e/s from BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 3rd Edition.
Outer V: MAC Carbon
Lower: outer-mid MAC Reel Sexy collection Dynamic Duo 4, the purple one. inner : pinky-purple shimmer e/s from BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 3rd Edition.
Liner - Inglot #77 (i think??) black cream liner

Now yes, I am using more MAC products.
But, that's only because recently I have been trying to incorporate of into it into my kit since people like to see MAC for some reason...

 And seriously!
Its taken me time to build up my MAC collection.
Which by most MAC girls standard is tiny.
I total maybe 12 eyeshadow at best, if more than yay for me.
I still use my BH Cosmetics and I still use my drugstore brands.
It takes time people! It takes time...
ANYWAY!
Thats what I used on mis ojitos.

See you soon!! =0)

Red Carpet Series.

So I've decided to pick some of the most influential red carpet divas and use their looks to inspire some of my own.
First up .....

 Jennifer Lopez.
She is always flawless and looks impeccable in everything and anything she wears. She has had a few makeup and wardrobe malfunctions but this woman knows herself and you can tell. As I flipped through countless pictures online I noticed a trend of bronze and coopers with compliment her skin tone.
But something you may not notice unless you look closely is that she almost always begins her crease color just inside the outer corner and extends it inward contouring and curved slightly down toward her tear duct.
Its an interesting look once you really get up close and personal with some of her pictures.

Anyway, here is just the tip of the iceberg.
 J. Lo look #1

The look is reminiscent of the look she wore for the 2003 Academy Awards, you know when she was with Ben Affleck (??, I'm still confused by that pairing) and she wore the beautiful sea foam green one shoulder Valentino dress
(My personal favorite look of hers, EVER!).

Products:
Base: NYX Jumbo E/S Pencil in Milk (concentrated on lid but blended up to the browbone)
E/S: BH Cosmetics 88 Cool Matte Palette
Battleship time!!
Allover; C8
Lid; A5
Crease/Outer lower lash; D7 (I blended this up into the beginning of my brow)
Tear duct: Urban Decay Ammo Palette Polyester Bride E/S (or any white shimmer will do)

Cheeks: VS Beauty Rush Luminous Bronzer (the little ones they sell by the counter) in Beach Bunny.

For her lips I have no clue what she uses
BUT its always nude on the outer rim and peachy inside so this is what I did.

Lips: NYX Circe Lipstick (allover), Revlon Tutti Frutti Lip Butter (dab lightly in the center), lined with a natural liner and topped with Victoria's Secret Glow Gloss.

So there you have it.
I hope you guys give it a try!

God Bless.

Xoxo,

Raquel

I'm back!!

I've been gone for a while now and I lost touch with what I love and besides my nugget thats makeup!
It makes me so happy and over the last few days I've played with it again and found it extremely therapeutic while I went through some tough couple of days.

BUT I'm back folks! Stay tuned for many more pics.

Hope these are good for now.

Glitter Experiment.
Of course my hair is a bloody mess but whatever thats how I roll when Im home.

For this look, I had a completely different idea of what was gonna go down and then my hand just went for green instead of blue and well this is what happened.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Comment if you'd like just be nice.
And constructive criticism is always welcomed so long as its constructive!

God bless,
P&L
